Winner of the Innovations Design and Engineering Award at the Consumer Electronics Show, this is the most comprehensive weather center available for home use. It comes with five wireless sensors, including a rain gauge, anemometer, thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer, that measure precipitation, wind speed and direction, temperature, and humidity--all remotely managed and monitored through a convenient backlit LCD base station. The base station has its own built-in thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer for indoor measurements. A mounting kit included with the outdoor sensors provides multiple options for initial set-up (on a longer pole or on a fence). The system can be used at a maximum altitude of 8,202' and the remote sensors communicate up to 300' away at 433MHz with the base station, which displays dew point and wind chill, hi/low temperatures, and heat index readings. It also synchronizes itself to the U.S. atomic clock and adjusts to different time zones, in addition to displaying moon phases. PC software and a USB cable are included (not compatible with Macintosh), allowing you to store weather data for later examination. Base station includes AC adapter (can run on four AA batteries).
