The World's Most Rugged Digital Camera
The World's Most Rugged Digital Camera
This is the 10.1 megapixel digital camera that is waterproof down to 33', withstands falls from 6 1/2', and is impervious to temperatures as low as 14° F, allowing you to capture high quality shots in extreme outdoor conditions with impunity. The camera resists up to 220 lbs. of pressure, thanks to its rugged metal body encased in a frame pressure-sealed with rubber gaskets to prevent penetration from water, sand, dirt, and dust. A built-in manometer measures air and water pressure, displaying the readings on the LCD so you can quickly determine depth and altitude of your photographs. Using the same technology designed for professional digital SLRs, the camera's image processor delivers true-to-life color with sharper detail and less noise than typical digital cameras. You can capture underwater scenes in superior color and rich detail, and bring them close with the 3.6X optical zoom (5X digital). The 2.7 LCD has superior contrast and color reproduction--even in direct sunlight--providing an accurate display of the subject. An integrated panoramic mode connects three consecutive images, allowing you to print 5.4 x 21 wide-angle photographs of mountain ranges or landscapes. Face detection, digital image stabilization, and shadow adjustment technology ensure high quality photographs in all environments. Also capable of shooting video (up to 640 x 480) with sound. With 14.7 MB of internal memory; compatible with XD picture cards and microSD, and includes a 1GB microSD card. Powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery that enables 260 shots on a full charge. The Frank Lloyd Wright Floor Globe
The Frank Lloyd Wright Floor Globe
  SKU 11418
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 1900s, this floor globe is a concept that was intended for one of his Prairie Homes but never came to fruition until now. Made by Replogle Globes, crafters of fine terrestrial globes for 79 years, the floor globe is based on a sketch found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation archives. The globe stand exhibits the form-follows-function principle, strong horizontal lines, and simplified geometric forms that were hallmarks of the Prairie School movement. The globe is painstakingly handcrafted by artisans and the solid maple frame is carved, sanded, and stained by hand, and finished with a deep walnut stain. It has antique-style parchment colored oceans and shows 4,100 place names as approved by the U.S. government. Additional cartographic features include raised relief mountain ranges and shipping routes that depict famous voyages including Charles Darwin's journey to the Galapagos Islands and Christopher Columbus's expedition to the New World. The 16 globe rests at a 23.5° angle, replicating the earth's position in relation to the sun, and has a full-swing, die-cast metal meridian. Minor assembly. 39 H x 23 W. (26 lbs.).

The Portable Watchwinder
The Portable Watchwinder
  SKU 11424
This is the portable watchwinder that provides circular motion for automatic watches, keeping them wound to ensure continued accuracy, unlike similar devices that are too bulky for travel. The winder's pedestal has a powered roller (two total) that spins a stainless steel cylinder using a precise Swiss-made micromotor; a watch inserted into the rotating cylinder is slowly spun in a circular motion, keeping its mainspring wound. Especially useful for watches with perpetual calendars, moon phase displays, and other complex horological features, the winder can be set to provide either 800 or 1,300 rotations per day in either clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. Four AAA batteries or the included AC adapter power the winder; an LED indicates when batteries need to be replaced (provides up to two months of winding). The rotating cylinder and roller pedestal fit into a suede-lined, black leather carrying case for easy travel. 4 H x 6 W x 4 D. (2 lbs.).

The Globus Scriptorium
The Globus Scriptorium
  SKU 11441
This is the desk and chair ensconced inside a pod, providing flexible yet unobtrusive working space. By Dutch innovator Michiel van der Kley, who took his inspiration from examining the eclectic designs conceptualized by 1930s futurists, the 2 1/2' diameter pod is comprised of two durable polyurethane hemispheres that, when opened with its built-in handle, forms a seat and a workspace. The foam-molded seat swivels 180, and is padded and luxuriously upholstered in leather, placing users 1 1/2' from the base for comfortable, relaxed reclining while working. The workstation's sturdy volkern plastic desktop unfolds and extends from the front hemisphere, supported by a hidden steel bracket; small items may be stored underneath the work surface. Requiring a mere 8 3/4' sq. of floor space--roughly the size of a large ottoman--the 3 1/2' L x 2 1/2' W powder-coated aluminum platform supports the pod with two study aluminum uprights that allow the pod to support up to 1,500 lbs. It moves silently on four double-casters equipped with soft rubber treads. Closed 3 3/4' L x 2 1/2' W x 3 1/2' H; extended 4 1/2' L x 2 1/2' W x 3 1/2' H. (70 lbs.).

The Floating Dog Dock
The Floating Dog Dock
  SKU 11443
This floating ramp allows dogs to easily get in and out of a boat, lake, or pool on their own. As the dog steps onto the ramp, the bottom slowly submerges, creating a slightly sloped walking surface that simulates the gentle grade of a shoreline. Eliminating the need to lift your pet into a boat or out of a pool, the ramp simply hooks to a boat or dock cleat for temporary use, or installs permanently onto a concrete, wood, or fiberglass dock (instructions provided). It accommodates dogs weighing 10 to 90 lbs.; simply unsnap the under-mounted Styrofoam floatation device and move it towards the bottom of the ramp for heavier canines or to the top for lighter dogs. The ramp is made using 100% marine-grade components, stainless steel hardware, and a mildew- and fade-resistant carpet that is soft on paws. Ideal for docks 6 to 28 above the water line. 84 L x 20 W x 3/4 H. (28 lbs.).

The Land Sailor
The Land Sailor
  SKU 11444
This is the three-wheeled craft that harnesses the wind's power for speeds up to 25 mph, enabling rank amateurs to sail effortlessly across any open, flat surface without the need for prior sailing experience. The craft quickly breaks down into four 4' long bags that easily fit into a car's trunk for easy transport. The 35 1/2' sq. sail is made of Dacron--the same material used by nautical vessels--slips over the mast, attaching to the boom for quick, easy set up. The sail is reinforced with two fiberglass battens that keep it taut during gusts for consistent, powered gliding. Equipped with three corrosion-resistant wheels with nylon rims and stainless steel bearings, your feet steer the craft by guiding the 12 front wheel, keeping your hands free to manage the sail and operate the hand brake. The molded ABS/polyurethane plastic body and seat are secured to the powder-coated steel frame with sturdy clevis pins; includes safety harness. The 20 rear wheels are cambered for stability. Braking is provided by a hand lever that provides even stops with no tipping. Supports riders up to 225 lbs. Ages 12 and up. 59 L x 66 W x 13' 8 H. (54 lbs.).

From coastal Italy, this environmentally friendly vehicle leisurely transports a whole family: it seats three adults and two small children.
