Japanese Gift Wrapped Gift Box

This is a gift box that was given to us in Japan. The gift box itself is a black box with light pink sakura (cherry blossoms) on the cover and it has a deep red interior lining. The box itself is very nice to give a gift in, but the real treasure is the gift wrapping for the box. It is a gold checked paper that is partially covered with a several fold paper that is printed with a flower motif and is finished with a tied string around it of green and white. Only the end has been opened to reveal the box inside so the box can be removed, filled with something and returned inside the wrapping, then the end can be sealed. It is so beautiful, we decided to keep it for the decorative aspect. It measures 8" x 5.5" x 1.5" and is in great condition.
